Attorney Gary R. Khachian is a member of the Firm whose practice encompasses Real Estate Law, Civil Litigation, and Default Solutions. He has over 24 years of experience in civil litigation, primarily in the areas of foreclosures, evictions and creditors’ rights. His clients include individuals, small businesses and financial service firms.
Attorney Khachian has handled several hundred foreclosure and eviction cases during the past twenty years. He is well-known among the Connecticut Housing Courts for his ability to obtain judgments in eviction matters when tenants have raised defenses or requested extensions or stays of execution. His approach, a combination of pragmatism, a reputation for fairness, and experience with Housing Court personnel and judges, enables him to achieve success while not causing our clients to be viewed negatively by the courts. More recently, with the enactment of Connecticut’s foreclosure mediation statute, Attorney Khachian has handled several hundred mediations predominantly on behalf of financial institutions. He has been able to successfully resolve a vast majority of these cases, thereby saving our clients time and the cost of further litigation. He has consistently received praise from adversaries, who report to lenders how he treats homeowners with dignity and respect and is able to visualize and implement creative and sometimes unique solutions to each individual case.
A Fairfield native and a Darien resident, Mr. Khachian is an active member of the Greater Norwalk business and social communities.
