Attorney Matthew B. Woods is
Retired from Private Practice.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut and Boston University School of Law (cum laude), Attorney Woods litigated in the Connecticut State and Federal courts and tried more than 40 cases that have resulted in published decisions issued by the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Connecticut Appellate Court. These cases involved such diverse fields as mortgage, family, tax, zoning, personal injury, banking, condominiums and contracts.
As Trial Counsel for the City of Milford, Connecticut, Attorney Woods handles all tax and zoning appeals for the City. In other municipalities, he represents property owners, developers, and neighborhood associations in these matters.
In 2015, Attorney Woods was named one of New England’s Super Lawyers, by Superlawyers Magazine.
Matthew is married to Deborah MacLeese Woods and has two grown children. He devotes substantial volunteer time as Chairman of the Milford Permanent School Facilities Building Committee, where he has been honored for his service.
