Certified in eMortgages and eClosings in Connecticut and New York

Goldman Gruder & Woods’ attorneys have become certified in eMortgages and eClosings in both Connecticut and New York. These certifications mean that the firm’s lawyers have received professional training in the process of how lenders handle eClosings and eMortgages, the benefits and time-saving nature for clients when closings are performed electronically.  The training extended to different variations of eClosings, including Hybrid eClosings and Streamline eClosings.  

The COVID-19 pandemic has also led to emergency executive orders from the Governors of the States of Connecticut and New York to permit and proscribe the procedures for remote video attestation and notarization.  These processes allow clients to close their purchases, sales and mortgage refinances while still enabling the closing process to be within safe social distancing recommendations advocated by health care professionals.
